School stories

International School’s Year 9 students and their peers from Savremena Elementary School showcased their talent and innovation at a recent Lego competition held at “Stojan Novaković” Elementary School in Šabac on Sunday, 11 February.

The competition featured four challenging categories:

  • designing Lego robots;
  • completing tasks with Lego robots on a predefined platform;
  • presenting innovative projects in the fields of art and modern technology;
  • demonstrating core values such as teamwork, inclusion, innovation, impact, fun, and exploration.

Five students from International School: Jelena Brkić, Đina Đinović, Petra Janev, Alexandra Chursina and Daniil Shmartsev, not only achieved outstanding results but also had a memorable experience in Šabac. They forged new friendships, witnessed effective teamwork in action, and expanded their networks.

Our Students Have Qualified for the Next Stage of the Competition

With 18 teams from across Serbia competing, the prestigious first place was awarded to students from Prva kragujevačka gimnazija. However, our students’ performance didn’t go unnoticed. They received an invitation to advance to the next stage of the competition, scheduled to take place in Slovenia at the end of May this year.

The success of our students highlights their dedication, creativity, and ability to excel in competitive environments. It also underscores the commitment of our schools to foster innovation and collaboration among students.

Congratulations to our talented students and their Robotics teacher, and best wishes as they prepare for the upcoming competition in Slovenia!
