In collaboration with the Pedagogic Society of Serbia, Savremena International School has prepared a seminar on 13 and 14 November with the topic of Professional development of associate experts meant for the specialising psychologists and learning support consultants.
Psychologists and learning support consultants from more than thirty primary and secondary schools from Belgrade and Pancevo were our guests and participants of this seminar.
Lifelong education – imperative of a modern teacher
At the beginning of our first workday, our renowned guests and lecturers were welcomed by Savremena’s principal Svetlana Belić Malinić, who emphasised the relevance of continuous development of all who engage in education and upbringing of young generations.
– With its concept of modern education Savremena encourages lifelong studying, and the methods and teaching tools that we use in our everyday work with students provide virtually limitless possibilities to all students in the education process – Svetlana stressed out.
Interesting and useful topics
Through highly useful and interesting topics that were covered at the seminar, psychologists and and learning support consultants were lead by Biljana Radosavljević, the president of the Pedagogic Society of Serbia, and Gordana Milovanović, a member of the Board of Directors of the Society.
The two-day workshops were held in a highly creative and dynamic atmosphere, and our young colleagues and associates with considerable experience in teaching used it to exchange practical their experiences.

Among other things, are guests were shown to Savremena’s Learning centre, Intelligent classroom and Future ready classrooms.
These rooms fittingly present this modern approach to teaching that is employed in Savremena by the application of the state-of-the-art technology for acquiring knowledge, creative and interactive teaching, bilingual programme, respect for all students’ needs and continuous development of its teachers.
Due to everything aforementioned, the Pedagogic Society of Serbia, as the most eminent institution involved in specialising associate experts in schools, saw Savremena as a partner for mutual education and developing the educational systems.
New conference scheduled for spring
The participants of Professional development of associate experts evaluated this seminar with the highest mark.
Due to the great interest of all who wished to be part of this conference but couldn’t attend it due to the limited number of groups, a new professional conference with the topic of education of all employed in education is scheduled for spring.
We look forward to acquiring new knowledges, exchanging experiences and ideas, as well as socialising with colleagues from other schools!
