School stories

On Friday, a group of Year 10 students visited Primary School Savremena as part of their Global Perspectives group project called “Food and sports make us strong”. International School students delivered presentations to their younger peers in order to raise awareness about the importance of healthy eating habits and sports.

The benefits of physical activity and healthy eating

The students were divided into groups of two or three and were distributed into classrooms. Each group had a fifteen minute presentation on the benefits of physical activity and healthy eating. Both sides were thrilled – International School students because their young friends were so little, so curious and so cute in asking questions, and primary school students were excited because they had a visit from their big friends and had an opportunity to learn something from them.

One of our students even received a gift – a handcrafted book containing drawn images of fruits and vegetables. That simple gesture just melted our hearts.

Working on this project enabled our students to acknowledge the purpose of the project outcomes in regard to Global Perspectives exam criteria. The students enriched their academic work with purposeful, creative and functional activities.

After the presentations the students had time to unwind in a memorable car ride. Yes, you read it correctly. Well, it wasn’t a regular car. It was a VR Starship. But, it was memorable for sure!
