School stories

Who says classes and learning can’t be fun!? When you think about business classes, you usually think of marketing, finance, management, and so on. But have you ever thought about board games? International School isn’t described as innovative and contemporary for no reason. These epithets arise from our continuous efforts to improve all aspects of education so that our students can have a unique educational experience and enjoy every moment of studying and overcoming the challenges of school life.

Gamification at International School

Students get their love for learning from their teachers

During the February break, teachers at International School attended numerous workshops on professional development organised by the Institute for Contemporary Education. All our teachers take great pleasure in our mission to foster a love for lifelong learning in our students as well.

One of the workshops focused on gamification in classes and learning, and there’s no one better to test new pedagogical methods than the creative and innovative Business teacher Tatjana Vilček, who is dedicated and makes a tremendous effort to prevent classes from ever being tedious.

Students gain knowledge in a fun and relatable way

A mixture of advanced technology and learning is a winning combination for interested, motivated, and engaged students. Add something children particularly like to that, such as gaming, and successful teaching is guaranteed.

As mock exams are approaching, revision of the subject matter previously learnt can be monotonous, but not at International School. The Business teacher created a board game which involved cards, a whiteboard, and some rules, which our students enjoyed immensely.
