Project Teach the future

Transnational meeting to improve the environmental project

Zorana Živanović, Principal of International School and Ana Vlašić, Assistant-Principal and Physics teacher met with the representatives of partner organizations in a whole-day transnational meeting to discuss further steps in the process of implementing environmental topics in youth education.

Our representatives analyzed current research and understanding of climate change education in national and international curricula, in cooperation with project partners. In addition, all participants in the project agreed on the next stages of the project, i.e. how to implement innovative teaching methods in the classrooms around the world.

It is very important that this project is further developed and improved, because the significance of projects based on socially relevant topics such as this is immeasurable. The School has the responsibility to provide comprehensive education to children through the curriculum, with special emphasis on socially relevant topics, such as environmentalism and raising their environmental awareness, because they will be the drivers of positive change in society in the future.

Future-ready education at International School

International School motivates its students to become responsible, conscientious and proactive individuals who strive to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make the world around them a better place. Therefore, International School has allocated the first outcome of this project – creating a formal report – Future Learning – Climate, Citizenship and Digital Education – Curriculum and Teaching Guidelines.

By learning about the most innovative and progressive educational practices around the world and implementing the most efficient teaching methods, International School aims to improve education and the teaching process so as to provide our students with a one-of-a-kind international educational experience.
