School stories

A brand new edition of the project called “Parents Teach This Week” is here! Lower Secondary students had the honour to meet Ms Milica Popović, Nađa Bilić’s mother, who is a very successful lawyer. Ms Tatjana Koluvija made sure these lessons were always fun, interesting and useful for the students, and this one definitely was not an exception.

Lecture and discussion on children’s rights, but also their obligations

Ms Milica Popović shared with the students the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the generally accepted standard on children’s rights in the world, which was a great opportunity for Lower Secondary students to test their knowledge on this topic.

Nađa’s mother introduced the students to the Children’s rights – the right to health, education, family life, play and recreation, an adequate standard of living and to be protected from abuse and harm, which the students listened to with care and later discussed their rights and obligations.

The students showed interest and willingness to share their knowledge and participate in the conversation Nađa’s mother sparked, and she also made sure the students enjoyed themselves even after the lecture – they all ate delicious cakes that she brought.
