School stories

On Wednesday, the 30th of December Savremena International School students had a truly different holiday celebration. Given that in the previous months our students have put in a lot of effort and have successfully overcome each challenge they were faced with, they marked the beginning of the winter holidays in style, with a lot of laughter and the ever-exciting Move&Groove games.

Savremena International School students, lead by their psychologist and the learning support assistant, have prepared a number of interesting quizzes, games and activities that made the first Move&Groove games an unforgettable experience. They will now become a staple because at Savremena International School, the beginning and the end of each term is marked in a truly different way.

Let the games begin

At the time when the first class would normally start, instead of in their classrooms Savremena’s students gathered in the school restaurant. A different seating arrangement, a sound system, a microphone and music hinted that once again Savremena’s teachers had prepared something truly different for the students.

The games were started with a crazy quiz, followed by a game of charades, bridge building for those who are good at construction, a game of hoopla where large rings were thrown on cones, dancing with balloons, a hidden puzzle and karaoke for the perfect musical ending.

To everyone’s taste and talent

The winners were those whose bridge was the most stable, and stability was tested by putting sweets on each bridge.

The boys liked the game of hoopla the most in which they threw rings on triangles which were strategically placed at differing distances from each other, while the girls liked karaoke the most during which they were able to show off their musical talents.

The competitive spirit of the students was supported by the teachers, especially Ana Manojlović, the school life coordinator who also acted as the host for this fun occasion.

A truly modern and fun ending

Fun endingThe end of the calendar year was marked with games, fun and sweets for everyone not just the winners. All the contestants were also the winners of the Move&Groove games because they all went away with good cheer. And that is how we wished Savremena International School students a happy and successful new year.

Smiling from ear to ear and with holiday cards in hand, our students went home to enjoy their winter holiday. See you in 2016 whose challenges we eagerly await and aim to meet with even more success. Savremena International School wishes you a happy new year!
