March is globally recognised as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and the Student Council marked this important occasion by organising a meaningful charity initiative within the school restaurant. Through this activity, students and staff were invited to take part in raising awareness while supporting an important humanitarian cause.
A Simple Gesture with a Powerful Message
As part of the initiative, members of the school community had the opportunity to send an SMS message to the number 3030. In return, they received a small package of sweets prepared by the Student Council. This simple yet impactful gesture encouraged participation and highlighted the importance of collective action when it comes to supporting health-related causes.
Raising Awareness Through Engagement
Beyond its charitable aspect, the initiative served as a platform to raise awareness about colorectal cancer and the importance of prevention and early detection. By combining education with active participation, the Student Council successfully engaged the wider school community in a topic of global significance.
A Commitment to Social Responsibility
Through initiatives like this, the Student Council continues to demonstrate a strong sense of social responsibility. Supporting meaningful causes, encouraging empathy, and promoting awareness are key elements of their work, reflecting the values that the school strives to nurture in its students.
Building a Community That Cares
The school is proud of the Student Council for organising activities that bring students and staff together, strengthen a sense of unity, and inspire solidarity. Their efforts not only contribute to important charitable causes but also help build a community that is informed, compassionate, and ready to make a positive impact.
