School stories

The new school year has also brought a new series of lessons within the project Parents Teach This Week. On Friday, 15 October, the parent-teacher was the father of Lena Stanković (Year 11), Mr Ivan Stanković.

Parents teach this week

Marketing expert, university professor and a TV host, Ivan presented his life and professional development through a motivational speech. Besides being fun for the students, this lecture was also very useful and inspirational, since it made students think twice about themselves and their goals, as well as what needs to be done in order to achieve those goals.

Mr Stanković’s professionalism, experience in teaching and giving lectures, but also in the sphere of marketing, largely enriched last week’s lessons, which can especially be seen in the fact that our students were inspired to think about their actions, their everyday life and the questions that bother them, and they cannot wait for the next class within the project.

Project participants are accomplished and successful individuals who inspire International School students through their personal experience

The project Parents Teach This Week is carried out with the aim of encouraging students to think about their professional orientation and future career, as well as about the discipline which is necessary for their wishes and goals to become reality. Besides, this project directly strengthens the bond among parents, students and teachers.

Our student’s parent, Mr Ivan Stanković, shared with us his expertise, professionalism and positive energy, which helped students discover what lies behind fulfilled dreams and thus inspired them to fight for their goals, so that they could pass their stories about success to younger generations in the future.

We are eagerly expecting the next lecture at International School! This project has enriched lessons with the personal experiences of our students’ parents, who have an important message:

“Fight for your goals, because hard work and effort really pay off!”
