School stories

Year 7 students, accompanied by their Business teacher Marija Milić, recently visited BeeCenter – an inspiring place dedicated to the preservation of bees in Belgrade. The visit was hosted by Mr Dario Mardušić, one of the co-founders, who welcomed our students and shared the story behind the creation of this unique urban garden.

Mr Mardušić introduced students to the mission and goals of BeeCenter, which focuses on raising awareness about the importance of bees and their role in our ecosystem. During the visit, students explored the center’s inhalation area and learned about the various herbs and plants grown there – specifically chosen to support bee health and honey production.

This visit gave students a deeper understanding of how nature and entrepreneurship can go hand in hand, and how innovative ideas can make a real difference in preserving the environment. It was a beautiful day spent outdoors, surrounded by nature – the students are already looking forward to visiting BeeCenter again in the future!
