School stories

As part of the “Parents Teach” project, Year 7 and Year 8 students had a unique opportunity to visit a clinic for reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, where they explored the professional world of Aleksandar Đorđević’s parents – Dr Jasmina Đorđević, an anesthesiologist, and Dr Boban Đorđević, a specialist in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.

Dressed in full surgical attire – including scrubs, face masks, caps, and shoe covers – our students were given a behind-the-scenes tour of the clinic. They visited the operating room and received detailed explanations about the equipment, procedures, and roles of medical professionals in the surgical field.

This eye-opening visit allowed students to step into a real-world medical environment, learn first-hand about the responsibilities of healthcare professionals, and experience something completely new and exciting.

The “Parents Teach” project continues to be a valuable part of our educational program, helping students connect classroom learning with real-life careers, broaden their horizons, and better understand the world of work. We are deeply grateful to Dr Jasmina and Dr Boban Đorđević for welcoming our students and sharing their time and knowledge.

The visit was organised and supervised by class teacher Daliborka Odobaša and English teacher Miloš Arsić.
