As part of the International Week of Science and Peace, Lower Secondary students who attend Robotics had the opportunity to visit Vukobratović Robotics Days, a major regional robotics event held at the Sava Center. The visit was organised by their Robotics teacher, Maja Milosavljević, giving students a chance to explore cutting-edge technologies and engage with hands-on activities that promote problem-solving and critical thinking.
During the event, students visited the Yandex booth featuring retro and arcade games, which offered a fun introduction to the evolution of gaming technology. They also took part in various Lego-based and other creative workshops designed to challenge their logic, teamwork, and innovation skills.
One of the highlights of the visit was trying out advanced VR headsets, allowing students to experience immersive virtual environments. They also had the chance to interact with different types of robots – playing games, competing in small challenges, and observing how robots respond to programmed commands. Additionally, students tested adaptive vision-assistance glasses that automatically adjust to the user’s dioptre, showcasing practical applications of modern technology.
The visit sparked curiosity, inspired creativity, and strengthened students’ interest in robotics and technology. It was an exciting opportunity for them to see how the concepts they learn in class are applied in real-world innovations.
