Preschool students from Srećkolino Kindergarten recently visited our school and took part in a specially designed Soft Skills lesson led by teacher Marko Nikolić. The visit was organised with the aim of introducing the youngest learners to the Cambridge programme and providing them with a warm and engaging first experience of a school environment.
From the moment they arrived, the children were welcomed into a space designed to encourage curiosity, exploration, and joyful learning. For many of them, it was an exciting opportunity to see what school life can look like beyond the kindergarten classroom.
Learning Through Play, Discovery, and Cooperation
During the lesson, the preschool students participated in a range of interactive activities that supported the development of communication, teamwork, and creative thinking. Through play-based learning, they were encouraged to share ideas, solve simple challenges together, and express themselves with confidence.
The atmosphere in the classroom was lively and full of enthusiasm, as children worked side by side on puzzles and games, discovering how learning can be both fun and meaningful. These moments of cooperation and shared problem-solving offered valuable early practice in skills that are essential throughout education.
Exploring Innovation in the Classroom
A special highlight of the visit was the children’s introduction to modern learning tools. They had the chance to explore the ocean through virtual reality headsets, experiencing an immersive and unforgettable journey beneath the surface of the sea. The excitement continued as they interacted with a robot, sparking curiosity about technology and the future of learning.
By combining traditional activities with innovative approaches, the lesson created a balanced and inspiring experience that captured the children’s attention and imagination.
The Importance of Soft Skills from an Early Age
Developing soft skills at an early stage is an important part of every child’s growth. These abilities support emotional development, help children build confidence in social settings, and encourage independence and resilience. Experiences like this lesson provide a strong foundation for future learning, where collaboration, communication, and adaptability become increasingly important.
A First Glimpse of the Cambridge Learning Environment
We were delighted to welcome our young visitors and share with them a glimpse of the Cambridge learning experience, where curiosity and creativity are nurtured from the very beginning. Visits like this one remind us that education is not only about knowledge, but also about inspiring children to explore, ask questions, and enjoy the process of learning.
We look forward to welcoming them again in the future.
