International School recently hosted a series of important health awareness presentations delivered by representatives of the Red Cross. The initiative was launched by Sofija Stošić, President of the Science and Health Club, whose engagement and dedication played a key role in bringing this collaboration to life.
The presentations covered essential topics, including HIV, infectious diseases, and general health awareness. Through clear explanations and age-appropriate information, students were encouraged to better understand health-related risks, prevention strategies, and the importance of responsible behavior and informed decision-making.
The significance of these presentations lies not only in the topics addressed, but also in the opportunity for students to learn directly from professionals with extensive experience in health education and community support. Cooperation with the Red Cross further strengthens the school’s commitment to promoting well-being, prevention, and social responsibility among students.
Equally important is the role of student initiative in shaping school life. Sofija’s proactive approach and leadership demonstrate how student engagement can lead to impactful learning experiences for the entire school community. Her efforts reflect the values we strive to nurture in our students – initiative, responsibility, and care for others.
We are proud of this successful collaboration and look forward to continuing partnerships that support health education and empower students to take an active role in creating a safe, informed, and supportive school environment.
