International School’s lower secondary students have recently completed their Cambridge Checkpoint exams in English, Mathematics, Science, and Global Perspectives. As always, our students demonstrated dedication and academic maturity, achieving consistent and successful results across all subjects.
The most outstanding success was achieved in Global Perspectives, where our students truly shined. This year, 60% more gold medals were awarded in comparison to the previous generation. Additionally, 46% of students earned silver medals, which indicates a performance level just shy of gold, showcasing their strong understanding of global issues and critical thinking skills. 32% of students received bronze medals, reflecting their ability to grasp key concepts, evaluate different perspectives, and propose thoughtful solutions to global and local problems through structured essay writing. These important skills will continue to be developed in Year 10, as part of their ongoing Global Perspectives coursework.
In Mathematics, students achieved their highest average scores, coming closest to the global average compared to other subjects. The top-performing students in Mathematics, all of whom received an Outstanding grade with 40 out of 50 points, were: Aleksandra Dalmatskaia, Kseniia Volkova, Xuanyi Hu, and Nikolai Gusarov.
In English, the following students achieved an Outstanding grade: Nadja Bilić, Nikolai Gusarov, Kseniia Volkova, and Sara Janjanin.
In Science (which covers physics, chemistry, and biology), two students reached the Outstanding level: Aleksandra Dalmatskaia and Kseniia Volkova.
The top achievers of this generation, with the highest overall number of points across all subjects, were: Kseniia Volkova, Aleksandra Dalmatskaia, and Nikolai Gusarov.
We would also like to recognize the efforts and high achievements of Nadja Bilić, Sara Janjanin, Arkhip Pryshivalka, and Milana Vasić for their excellent performance and high results.
Congratulations to all our Year 9 students for their hard work, resilience, and continued academic progress!
