International School’s Elite Honours Class students had the opportunity to attend a guest lecture delivered by Prof. Dr Zoran Grubišić, Dean of the Belgrade Banking Academy, thanks to their Economics and Business teacher, Marija Milić.
Prof. Dr Grubišić introduced students to the work of the Belgrade Banking Academy and presented the upcoming Business Plan Competition. His engaging lecture covered topics such as investment risks and their impact on returns, different types of portfolios, and current investment opportunities in Serbia.
This lesson marked the conclusion of Module 2, during which students explored the process of creating and managing investment portfolios. By the end of the module, they successfully developed their own portfolio plans, complete with detailed explanations and reasoning for their chosen investments. This demonstrated their solid grasp of key financial concepts and principles.
Experiences like this go beyond the textbook, offering valuable real-world insights and encouraging students to apply their knowledge in practical and analytical ways.
