School stories

Another proof that the International School nurtures a winning spirit! Students who break records in school and sports competitions, and teachers who win awards for best teachers – business as usual in the International School. One of our teachers, Tatjana Vilček will receive the Favourite Teacher 2022 award, based on students’ votes, in the world’s largest educational fair EDUfair 2022, organised by the leading international educational consulting agency.

Tatjana Vilček

Five teachers from Serbia competed in this category, and the teacher of the International School won by a landslide, thus proving that it is not enough to be an expert in one’s chosen field, but that one must also be a good educator whom students will love and respect, and finally vote for the teacher of the year.

Innovative and creative teaching methods for victory

The favourite teacher teaches Business in the International School, and is famous for her innovative and engaging teaching methods, which are certainly one of the factors that decided her victory.

Tatjana is a pioneer in introducing the concept of gamification in teaching, one of the best ways to make the learning material relatable to students, because this technique combines technology and learning. Attending various professional development workshops organised by the Institute for Contemporary Education and other organisations, Tatjana honed her skills in teaching and pedagogy, improving herself and her teaching methods.

Students’ votes prove that Tatjana has succeeded in making her subject one of the favourites among students, and her efforts to raise teaching to a higher level by introducing innovations certainly deserve commendation and praise.

Teachers of the International School enjoy the full support of the LINKgroup company that provides teachers with plenty of space for professional development and innovativeness in the teaching process through its various institutions, non-formal training programs and the Distance Learning platform.

The Institute for Contemporary Education, which is owned by the LINKgroup, as an institution that promotes educational innovation, provides teachers with resources needed to improve the teaching process supported by state-of-the-art technology, and the latest trends in pedagogy. Thanks to the prestigious programs organised by the Institute, teachers have the opportunity to experiment with the teaching process, introducing innovations such as gamification, artificial intelligence, and many others, thus raising their teaching practice to a higher level.

Thanks to the support our teachers enjoy in their efforts to improve their teaching practice, Tatjana has succeeded in distinguishing herself as a teacher whose classes are seen as successful, engaging, creative and unique by students, which is why they made sure that their teacher won the prestigious title. Another teacher of the International School participated in the competition, winning the respectable third place.

The International School brings together people who are focused on their personal and professional development, and make use of all the resources provided by the LINKgroup through its various educational institutions, because only teachers with that kind of attitude toward learning and development can create new generations of lifelong learners.

The winner of this year’s competition is a teacher who promotes precisely those values, one who is determined to provide her students with the best educational experience, and committed to finding new and innovative ways to actively involve her students in the teaching process.

Congratulations to our teacher! International School wishes her many more victories on her professional journey, because a teacher’s academic success will be reflected in the classroom as well.
