Year 11 students recently took part in an interdisciplinary lesson that connected Business and Spanish, led by teachers Mila Janković and Uroš Veselinović. Through an interactive and creative approach, the two subjects were brought together in a unique way that highlighted the link between culture and business opportunities.
At the beginning of the class, students learned more about Spain and its rich culture, including its gastronomy, cultural events, and storytelling traditions. They then shared their own travel and cultural experiences, comparing them with those from other countries.
The discussion naturally expanded to include various business-related topics, demonstrating how cultural understanding can open doors to entrepreneurial ventures.
To conclude the lesson, students worked on a practical task – designing their own Spanish restaurant in Belgrade. They had to consider factors such as location, marketing, and service, applying business concepts they had previously studied while exploring the fascinating world of Spanish culture.
This creative session allowed students to see how business knowledge can be applied across cultures, while also enhancing their appreciation for Spanish language and traditions.
