School stories

Year 13 Digital Media and Design students had the opportunity to visit the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, accompanied by their teacher, Ms Lora Mitić. They attended the exhibition titled “Images of Another World”, which offered a fascinating journey through contemporary artistic visions beyond conventional reality.

The students actively engaged with the exhibition, asked questions, shared their impressions, and offered thoughtful comments.

This visit was an excellent example of using a museum exhibition as a resource for research – one of the key requirements for their projects. By engaging directly with contemporary art, students enriched their understanding of visual expression, narrative, and design – elements that are highly relevant to their assignments.

Visits like this are important not only because they support students’ exam preparation and project work, but also because they encourage cultural awareness, broaden creative horizons, and inspire new ideas. Experiencing art in a real-world context helps students see how theoretical concepts studied in class can be realized in practice – a valuable motivation for anyone aspiring to work in design and creative fields.
