Year 9 and Year 10 students had a fun and useful task – to create a business plan. The students worked in groups, pairs or individually, and presented their ideas to the class. Their Business teacher, Ms Tatjana Vilček, made sure their business plans had to contain one product or service idea that is well developed and ready to be put on the market.

There were plenty of ideas and business plans – from educational apps that would help students that are struggling to keep up with the material of specific subjects, through developing gluten-free food industries, producing sports props for various sports injuries, to cobweb removing drones.

Teodora Račić’s business plan “OnWay Kitchen”, and quick and easy meal preparation, caught our attention. “OnWay Kitchen” business plan is about selling packages of ingredients necessary to prepare the meals you can find on the website. To prepare a meal, you just need to select what you would like to eat on the website, wait for the package with fresh ingredients to arrive at your address, watch a tutorial on how to prepare the meal, and enjoy while you’re preparing it.

Eo Stojadinović’s business plan also stands out with his “Electrified” company specialised in making electric scooters. You’re probably wondering what is the difference between his and all the other electric scooter companies?! Eo’s company “Electrified” is producing custom-made scooters with different tire sizes, colours, and engines. Eo’s scooters are waterproof, with an ABS braking system and can travel 90 kilometres per hour – they are fast, stable and have a fingerprint touchpad lock.

Year 9 students were also busy creating business plans which resulted in coming up with the idea of offering high-quality taxi cab service in order to increase the satisfaction level of both the users and employees. Ana Koceić, Desa Stojičić, Lena Lešnjak and Adam Shapera want to provide people with taxi cab services that haven’t been offered before while giving the employees the trust, autonomy and earnings they deserve.

Acquiring the skills that will make them better business owners in the future

The students learned that the process of creating a business plan is like a journey, which made them acquire skills that will benefit both their personal and professional life and will make them better business owners in the future.
