School stories

September marked much more than the beginning of a new school year for International School Secondary students. It brought a new space, new energy and a new chapter in school life, right in the heart of Belgrade.
Since the start of the 2026/27 school year, Secondary students have been attending classes at the new campus at Terazije 23, in a space designed to support contemporary learning and the needs of generations preparing for international universities and an ever-changing world.
Across 1,300 m², the new campus features 17 modern classrooms, an amphitheatre and contemporary spaces for learning, collaboration and presentations, giving the start of the new school year an entirely new dimension.

A New Space for a New Stage of Education

The move to the new location marks an important step in the continued development of International School Secondary.
From the very first days of September, students began their new school routine in classrooms equipped with interactive displays and modern technology, designed to support dynamic learning, interdisciplinary connections and active student participation.
The new campus allows lessons to go beyond listening and absorbing information. Students explore, present ideas, discuss, collaborate and work on projects that encourage independence, critical thinking and confidence in their own knowledge.

17 Classrooms and an Amphitheatre for Ideas That Deserve Space

A special feature of the new campus is the modern amphitheatre, designed for presentations, lectures, workshops, guest speakers and a wide range of school events.
The space is equipped with technology that supports live streaming, including cameras, microphones and lecterns, giving students the opportunity to develop public speaking and presentation skills in an environment similar to those they will encounter at university and later in their professional lives.
Each of the 17 classrooms has been designed to support different forms of learning, from traditional lessons and discussion to team projects, practical activities and presentations.

A School in the Heart of Belgrade

The new address, Terazije 23, places International School Secondary in the very centre of the city.
This central location gives students even greater access to cultural institutions, educational events and numerous opportunities for learning beyond the classroom.
In this way, the learning environment naturally extends beyond the school building itself. Belgrade becomes part of the educational experience, particularly through activities, visits, conferences, projects and programmes that help students connect knowledge with the real world.

A Place Where Knowledge Becomes Confidence

A change of space means much more than a change of address. It also transforms the everyday experience of learning.
In the new environment, students have the opportunity to develop not only academic knowledge, but also the skills they will need long after they leave school: independence, communication, argumentation, teamwork, public speaking, digital literacy and the ability to adapt to new challenges.
These are precisely the skills that help prepare students for international universities and for navigating an increasingly fast-changing world with confidence.

A September That Marks a New Beginning

The first school days at Terazije 23 brought the excitement of discovering a new space, reconnecting with friends and teachers, and beginning new subjects, projects and challenges for the year ahead.
But they also brought the sense that something new had truly begun.
The new International School Secondary campus is more than a new school building. It is a place where new projects, friendships, ideas, decisions about future studies and memories will be created, all of which students will carry with them long after they leave school.
A new chapter has begun. And its address is Terazije 23.
