School stories

International School students from Years 10 to 13 swapped their usual classroom setting for the bowling lanes, enjoying a day filled with fun, friendly competition and quality time with their classmates.

Organised as part of the school’s Classroom Without Walls programme, the activity gave students an opportunity to step away from their everyday academic routine and spend time together in a relaxed and dynamic environment. With every strike, spare and enthusiastic attempt, the bowling alley was filled with plenty of laughter, encouragement and team spirit.

Strengthening friendships beyond the classroom

While everyone was eager to achieve the best possible score, the day was about much more than competition. Students supported one another, celebrated successful throws and enjoyed sharing the experience with friends from different year groups.

Activities like bowling provide a great opportunity for students to socialise outside the classroom, strengthen existing friendships and build new connections. They also encourage patience, focus and a healthy competitive spirit, all while giving students the chance to recharge and have fun together.

The bowling outing once again showed that some of the most memorable school experiences happen beyond the traditional classroom. Through the Classroom Without Walls programme, International School continues to create opportunities for students to learn, connect and enjoy meaningful experiences together.
After an energetic day on the lanes, students returned with plenty of smiles, shared memories and, for some, perhaps even a newly discovered talent for bowling.
