Year 7 and Year 8 students recently took part in a creative and engaging Digital Literacy lesson dedicated to marking European Money Week. As part of this initiative, which aims to raise awareness about financial education and money management, their teacher, Marko Nikolić, designed an interactive activity that combined creativity with practical knowledge.
Creativity and learning through practice
Students were given the task of designing their own banknotes, where they could decide on the value, appearance, and symbols featured on the currency. They explored different design elements such as colors, patterns, security features, and important figures or landmarks they wanted to highlight. Through this activity, the classroom became a creative studio, allowing students to express their ideas while learning about the role and design of money.
The lesson was filled with enthusiasm and originality, showcasing how creative teaching methods can make learning both fun and meaningful. By combining financial awareness with digital creativity, students not only celebrated European Money Week but also developed useful skills for the future.
