School stories

The International School hosted first Board Game Competition, organized by the dedicated Business and Economics teacher, Ms. Marija Milić. Lower Secondary students, Years 7, 8, and 9, participated in this exciting event, competing in four categories: Uno, Domino, Chess, and “Čoveče ne ljuti se”.

The competition brought together 18 talented participants, and the winners were:

  • Chess: Platon Lisnik (Year 7)
  • Domino: Ekaterina Dorofeeva (Year 9-2)
  • “Čoveče ne ljuti se” Ekaterina Zakharova (Year 8)
  • Uno: Raniia Zaripova (Year 9-1) and Daniela Rusinovich (Year 8)

Special recognition goes to Tara Zelenović (Year 9-2), the president of the organizing committee, whose leadership was instrumental in ensuring the event’s success. Additionally, Year 9-2 students, Sara Janjanin and Mina Krajnjan, created stunning, hand-painted posters that added a vibrant touch to the competition.

The students shared overwhelmingly positive impressions, highlighting how much fun they had and expressing excitement for future competitions.

This event showcased not only the students’ competitive spirit but also the importance of healthy competition in fostering teamwork, strategic thinking, and creativity. The enthusiasm and laughter that filled the school proved that a little competition can be both entertaining and enriching.

We are already looking forward to the next Board Game Competition!
