Marija Milić is a dedicated and accomplished educator with over 25 years of diverse professional experience, including more than a decade in teaching. She holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Belgrade. During her studies, she served as the national president of AIESEC, the international student exchange organization, gaining valuable experience in leadership, teaching, and international collaboration.
Before entering education, Marija worked in some of the leading companies in audit, sales and marketing, foreign trade, and haute-couture fashion production, where she developed her expertise in auditing, marketing, leadership and management.
Her teaching career began in a vocational secondary school for postal services. She completed the official licensing process for independent teaching, including additional studies in psychology, pedagogy, and methodology at the University of Singidunum. She successfully passed the national teaching exam and obtained a full teaching license.
Marija has over seven years of experience teaching IGCSE, AS & A Level Business and Economics at International School Belgrade, as well as one year of international teaching experience at RDFZ Chaoyang School in Beijing, China as an IGCSE Economics and a homeroom teacher. This international role expanded her professional and cultural perspective and enriched her classroom approach.
She is known for her supportive and student-centered teaching style, as well as her strong collaboration with parents and guardians. As a class teacher, Marija supports and mentors students to enjoy the learning process and learn from mistakes. Marija emphasizes the connection between theory and real-world practice through creative examples, guest lectures, and regular company visits. Every year, she organizes educational excursions and school events that provide students with direct insights into the world of business and entrepreneurship.
Marija is also actively involved in Erasmus+ and eTwinning projects and frequently collaborates with other schools across the region. She has co-developed valuable educational materials on entrepreneurship, and consistently motivates her students to take part in local and international competitions. Under her mentorship, students have received recognition such as a gold medal in the Micr@s Erasmus+ project and certificates from the prestigious Wharton Investment and Wharton Data Science Competitions.
With a passion for education and a broad foundation of professional and life experience, Marija aims to inspire students to deepen their understanding of business and economics. Her lessons blend traditional and digital learning tools, current global topics, and interactive discussion, helping students to develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
Outside of the classroom, Marija enjoys photography, literature, music, and painting. She is an avid gardener and nature lover, committed to growing organic fruits and vegetables, which connects her with the natural world and offers her a peaceful balance to professional life.
