Aleksandra Vukasović is the Year 6 Head Teacher at IS International School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design (Fine Arts) and a TEFL certificate. She spent many years living and working in China, where she taught children of different ages in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, as well as through private tutoring. During this time, she gained experience as both a class teacher and a subject teacher. After returning to Serbia, she worked as a class teacher at two private international primary schools following the Cambridge Primary curriculum, including preparing Year 6 pupils for the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint examinations.
Aleksandra believes that children learn best in a supportive and well-structured environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, expressing their ideas and learning from mistakes. She enjoys combining clear learning goals with creativity and adapting lessons to the needs of individual pupils, while helping them become confident, curious and independent learners.
In her free time, Aleksandra enjoys watching classic films and football, as well as spending time with her family.
