Remarkable teachers of International School recognized by the renowned magazine K12 Digest

Have you ever wondered what makes International School students this successful? Their constant willingness to work? Without a doubt. Their responsibility? Mindset? Sure. Their teachers? DEFINITELY! If student success is the goal of education, quality teaching is the means by which that goal is achieved. Knowing that the education system is only as good as its teachers, all we can do is be proud.

The renowned magazine K12 Digest recognized the effort Global Perspectives teacher Tatjana Koluvija, Biology teacher Nadežda Golubović, and Psychology teacher Aleksandar Petrović put into their teaching and included their inspirational work in the magazine’s newest edition.

Our teachers’ impressive papers contributed to various scientific fields

Tatjana Koluvija, Global Perspectives teacher, Mindfulness Club leader and Parent Support Coordinator wrote an article about an assertive and mindful approach to the school environment. Ms Koluvija uses a conscious and assertive approach to teaching and communication, which yields excellent academic results, but also contributes to the development of students’ socio-emotional competencies.

Nadežda Golubović, Biology teacher and STEAM Coordinator, wrote about mentorship – how it changes us and why it is so important to us. The mentor–mentee relationship is based on honesty and trust, which results in both parties becoming better communicators, listeners, supporters, and most importantly, better human beings.

Towards studying without anxiety

Anxiety and learning is a topic Aleksandar Petrović, Psychology teacher and school counsellor, wrote about. Test anxiety is a problem many students face, which professors notice when entering the classroom. Students should be empowered and supported as much as possible so that their skill set serves them well and in the future and provides a firm foundation for living better lives overall.
