Last week, Savremena International School was a host to the young Secondary School students from Gornji Milanovac, who were eager to learn more about the way the school works, and the technology that Savremena’s students use in class every day.

A warm welcome and a tour of the school

The students from Gornji Milanovac were accompanied by their ICT teacher and learning consultant, and they were warmly greeted at Savremena International School by the coordinatores and teachers, as well as by the students, who were happy to show their new friends around the school.

After the initial greetings and introductions, the guests from Šumadija embarked on a tour of the school to get an impression of the environment in which Savremena’s students spend their time, and then watched an interesting video as an introduction to the school life at Savremena International School.

Exciting activities during the visit

Savremena International School’s teachers prepared special biology, chemistry and history lessons for their visitors. These lessons, albeit short, served well to demonstrate what the truly different teaching AT Savremena International School is like.

As usual, the learning was enhanced through the use of modern technology, so the students followed the lessons using iPads. They were especially thrilled at the end of the visit, when they tested out the differen devices and technologies used at Savremena International School – VR glasses and interactive table.

The students from Gornji Milanovac chatted with their new friends from Savremena International School, spending some of their time there in a cheerful exchange of impressions of the school, the teachers, and other secondary schooler topics.
