School stories

On Friday, the 4th of March, Savremena International School welcomed primary school students who wished to find out more about the teaching approach employed at Savremena and the way it operates.

The curious young minds who would like to join the next generation of Savremena’s students were greeted by our friendly coordinators who extended a warm welcome to them. They also introduced the students to the ethos of our school, giving them a tour of the premises and showing them the school’s IT equipment and technological capacity, all of which are used to further enhance the teaching materials.

Hocus pocus for the start of an unforgettable day

The students loved the experiments which further kindled their desire to become a part of the school.

Friendly advice

Our young guests have had the opportunity to meet Saveremena’s students and find out everything they wished to know about the school first hand. They spoke to some of our current students during break time as they inquired about all of the things they needed to know before deciding where to pursue their secondary education.

After a short break, students went to the next class demonstration where history teacher Sanja Bogdanović was waiting for them. Their interest was peaked by the story she prepared for them, namely that of how teenagers lived in the Roman Empire. They also watched an interesting film about the topic upon which they tested their newly acquired knowledge in a quiz using their iPad.

Knowledge is power

That is not all. We wanted to show the students that a good education doesn’t just include a comfortable environment but the use of modern technologies in teaching as well. After the fun history lesson, students met our Serbian language teacher Mirjana Vasić Adžić who encouraged them to think about the impact and importance of knowledge. The students were also asked to imagine a situation in which they have unlimited power to make all the changes in the world they see fit.SG Poseta osmaka

Abolishing inequality, world peace, respecting the rights of animals and a clean planet are just some of the answers our young student visitors gave in the discussion. To turn their dreams into a reality, they must possess both rich and versatile knowledge in different fields because, as the famous quote by Nelson Mandela says: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.

See you at Savremena International School!

The doors of Savremena International School are open for all students who would like to get to know the school more and meet its students, teachers and their fun and interactive methods for imparting knowledge. We hope that our ideas will inspire everyone to expand their knowledge and skill set with high quality education that will always be of immeasurable value in a world that rewards creativity and originality.
