School stories

On Thursday the 28th of January, to their great pleasure Savremena’s students reprised the Forgive me, Catherine play for their friends, peers from Belgrade primary schools, their parents, teachers and of course all of those interested who missed the premiere of the play during the New Year’s performance.

Savremena’s students enchanted us in December with their play. They were so convincing, charismatic, brave and professional that they left the audience wanting a reprise. The second time around they were just as magnificent leaving their audience captivated and full of praise as they left the hall at the Children’s Cultural Centre.

All good things should come twice

As you may remember, Savremena’s students performed the Forgive me, Catherine play which was inspired by the eponymous Đorđe Balašević song and performed at the beginning of the new year.

This was their first ever performance and demonstration of what they practiced during their drama lessons and workshops. They put in a lot of effort into the performance thus showing us that they can surpass themselves in their acting and that with the right mindset and enough motivation, anything is possible.

A captivated audience

The primary school students who attended the reprise of the Forgive me, Catherine play watched their older friends shine in the roles of lovelorn and lovesick teenagers.

At the end, loud cheers filled up the hall and it confirmed that Savremena’s students once again gave an outstanding performance justifying the trust and excitement of their audience. They overcame their initial fears gaining enough confidence to, either accidentally or intentionally make their audience burst out laughing.

We would like to congratulate them once again and we hope that they will continue to develop their acting talent!
